This super simple solution has become my
favorite in the past few months. One of my earth-friendly goals has been to reduce my paper towel use. I was a crazy consumer when it came to paper towel. Then, someone suggested I switch to using rags. Well, an old strip of t-shirt just didn't have the appeal of a clean, crisp white sheet of paper towel. Then, I came across these adorable washcloths on super-clearance at Target. I picked up a dozen, and now I use them for wiping up little spills, drying my hands, wiping down counter tops, and drying dishes. I haven't touch a paper towel for days!

We're cloth people around here, and it does bring me quite a bit of joy to use them! I have cute washcloths for everyday spills and nastier rags for the grosser projects.
Things I would have turned to paper towels for because of their gross nature, I use rags that are on their very last legs (like those cut up stained and holy T-shirts) and don't feel bad about tossing them out afterward, since I would have tossed the T-shirt anyway.
Are cloth napkins next on the list? They can be quite cute too!
Oh! And hanging them on the line to dry in a tidy little row? Also one of life's simplest pleasures!
I do the same thing. I have old rags for the deep cleaning around the house but I have a stack of washcloths and hand towels that I use for day to day stuff.
@ Chicky Mama- True. True. Isn't it funny how much more enjoyable things become when we have beauty around us?
